About Lassintullich House
The experience of staying at Lassintullich House really begins 17 miles before your arrival, when you turn off Scotland’s north-south trunk road, the A9, and head west. All three of the roads that lead to this Victorian Highland lodge are single-track, winding through Tay Forest Park to the base of Schiehallion, one of Scotland’s 282 Munros. Once you reach the stone gatepost marked ‘Lassintullich’, you have arrived: it’s time to cross the cattle grid and dive into life in a Highland glen.
Living and dining
Lassintullich House is an ideal choice for a large group gathering of family or friends. This pet-friendly stone lodge was fully renovated in 2022, and the result is a warm and airy space full of traditional features. The lodge doubles up on the rooms you use the most: there are two high-spec kitchens, two lounges, two dining areas and two boot rooms. Lassintullich is a place to linger over meals, coffee breaks and aperitifs: the traditional dining room seats up to 20 people, and there are comfy chairs aplenty.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
In the Main House, you’ll find four king bedrooms (three ensuite) and a twin, while the East Wing has king, double and twin bedrooms.
Outdoors
The TV series Outlander was filmed nearby, and it’s easy to understand why: the landscape surrounding Lassintullich certainly is cinematic. There are wonderful views over Dunalister Water, and walks, cycle routes and wild swim spots aplenty to enjoy from the doorstep. Lassintullich House is in a National Scenic Area, which officially recognises the views of mountain ranges, lochs, glens and the dark night sky. Bird life is well supported here, as are ground-living species, so you might be lucky enough to spot curlew, red squirrel, dotterel, butterfly orchids, mountain hare, black grouse or peewits while you wander in the garden or across the high ground. After a day in the elements, warm up in front of the two wood burning stoves or open fire.
Location
Despite the feeling of complete isolation that Lassintullich provides, you’re only two miles from the pretty village of Kinloch Rannoch. Explore the woodland paths of Rannoch Forest, grab a homemade bite at the local café, pop by the general store, or head one mile further along the road for a pint at the Loch Rannoch Hotel. There’s plenty of storage for bikes, kayaks and other adventure kit in case you decide to try out some popular local activities too, such as road biking around Loch Rannoch, a gravel ride along some of the Badger Divide, or a paddle across Loch Tummel on a sunny day.

Customer reviews
We cannot fault our Seasgair experience. The accommodation was as described and looked as good in real life as it did in the pictures. From the moment we booked, to the day we left, Seasgair has kept us up to date with our booking and answered any questions that we had. We will definitely recommend and use Seasgair again as we like the quality of the accommodation on offer and that it is a nice select group of properties that all appear to be of a similar standard. We bumped into the owners of Lassintullich and they were very helpful and friendly without being intrusive.
We had a tremendous stay! It surpassed even our highest expectations, every room was stunningly put together, we were spoiled for choice of where to spend our time and couldn't ask for a better place to spend my 30th birthday! I'm looking forward to booking with Seasgair Lodges again.
We have just returned from a large family gathering and weekend stay at the Lassintullich House. Everyone loved the place and we were all very sad to leave. It is a beautiful large property with plenty of space for our family group and lots of different living areas within the house - warm and comfortable with ever changing amazing views! There is a choice of outside seating areas, and the children loved exploring the garden and woodland around and toasting marshmallows at the fire pit. Thank you.
