About Fernbank Cottage

The renovation of characterful Fernbank Cottage has been a labour of love for its owners, with careful balancing of its historic features with contemporary touches. The result is a stunning holiday home sleeping 4, that blends traditional charm with modern comforts and offers a peaceful stay in the village of Bridge of Cally in Highland Perthshire. Underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove ensure you’ll be cosy throughout your stay.

Living and dining

In the kitchen and dining room, exposed wooden beams hint at the cottage’s age, while the raised ceiling above them adds a bright and modern feel. Despite the clear focus on style, the kitchen is also a practical space, and it comes with all the modern appliances you could wish for. At one end, an original stone wall frames the dining table, its comfortable dining chairs suggesting long meals are the norm here. The squishy sofa in the TV-less living room is the perfect place to relax with a book or a dram in hand, while the snug is the place to watch your favourite film or box set.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Both bedrooms have kingsize beds topped with luxurious linens. The master bedroom has an en-suite with rain shower, while a second bathroom offers a rolltop bath – an invitation to soak away the day’s adventures.

Outdoors

Outside, the cottage’s garden is a delight, with seating for alfresco dining, a bench for morning coffee (which can be swapped for the window-lined porch in cooler weather), and a BBQ for summer evenings.

Fernbank Cottage is a welcoming base from which to explore the surrounding hills, lochs and forests. Its elevated position brings spectacular treetop views: if you’re lucky, you might spot red squirrels darting through the branches.

Location

Located as it is at the junction of three glens, Fernbank Cottage, this stunning holiday home sleeping 4 is perfectly placed for outdoor adventures. Glenshee Ski Centre is just 20 minutes away, with ski hire opposite the cottage, and endless opportunities for walking, cycling and fishing nearby. Whether you’re setting off for a day in the hills or settling in for a cosy evening, this is a place to slow down, switch off and enjoy the peacefulness of the Scottish Highlands.

Fernbank Cottage was the perfect place to chill and unwind for a wee New Year stay after a busy Christmas. We particularly loved the log burner and ample kitchen and the cosy underfloor heating kept us warm when it was freezing outside. Just wished we could have stayed longer and didn't have to go back to work!

We had a wonderful midweek mini break at Fernbank Cottage. A beautiful luxury home from home! Lovely base to explore the local area. You can’t beat a Seasgair Lodge - thanks again more memories made!

Absolutely beautiful cottage in the Bridge of Cally, we loved our stay. The decor and interior design was stunning and the place was spotlessly clean. We can’t wait to return. Thank you to the team for creating an enjoyable experience.

We loved our stay very much and right from the first contact I was grateful for your help and assistance, especially in checking out its suitability for my limited walking. When we did have a hiccup with the hot water we were impressed with the owners personally quickly sorting the problem. I am sure we will be having a look again at what Seasgair has on its books. First class service. A-star in my book. Thank you again.
