This elegantly presented wee hoose offers a perfectly luxurious retreat in Crieff, right in the heart of Perthshire with all that this beautiful county has to offer. However, with its breathtaking garden views, roll top bath, sauna and full Sky TV package you may struggle to leave the house at all!
Attached to the rear of the historic Gwydyr House pronounced [gw-ay-daar], Wee Gwydyr House would traditionally have been the servants quarters. However, there is little about it now to suggest any inferiority. On approaching the house you can’t help but admire the ever changing backdrop of Torlum Mountain and views out towards the Trossachs National Park. Climbing the steps up to the private enclosed garden with outdoor dining, you find yourself in the perfect location to while away a sunny afternoon enjoying this scenery.
You enter into the newly installed kitchen diner complete with induction hob, fridge freezer, washing machine and Nespresso coffee machine. Onwards from here, there is a convenient WC next to the stairs that lead you up to the rest of the accommodation upstairs.
The entire house has been extensively refurbished to give a feel of relaxed grandeur, with notes of playful design. The living room with its dramatic chesterfield style velvet sofas and marble tables make for the ideal spot to relax and enjoy the full TV package. The spacious bedroom is not short of any splendour in its appearance either, with its king sized bed and a large ensuite shower room with a rain shower.
To help you unwind after a busy day exploring Perthshire, you can enjoy a truly self indulgent experience in the second bathroom with its deep freestanding bath, second rain shower and therapeutic infrared sauna for two where you can sit, relax and enjoy the cleansing heat.
Wee Gwydyr House is perfectly positioned in the heart of Crieff. From your doorstep you can easily access the Knock of Crieff which after a short climb provides stunning 360 degree views over the whole area. Alternatively across the road is the attractive Macrosty Park which leads to the famously beautiful Lady Mary’s walk. A short drive leads you towards Comrie and out into the Trossachs National Park.
Wee Gwydyr House is an exquisitely refurbished home in a stunning location, making it the perfect place for a romantic retreat for two.
"It was a real privilege to be the first visitors to this gorgeous cottage! We've had a lovely relaxing time. Special thanks to Chris who was the perfect host - friendly, welcoming and a true gent. "Fantastic place, private and secluded whilst being within a short walk of amenities and hikes from the door. Nice additional details like local produce to sample. Has everything you need for a relaxing trip away, even a sauna! The place is also well equipped for a dog. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend and will hopefully be back for a longer stay next time. " May 2022

"Thank you for a wonderful stay. Beautiful, luxury accommodation, comfortable bed with a mini spa included. Absolute bliss for a relaxing break. Chris and his family made us feel so welcome and were on hand for any advice. Our dog Carter loved the walks across from house to Macrosty park and the dog friendly view point at the Knock. We would love to return again sometime soon" April 2022
