Alltnacriche is one of our largest lodges, comfortably sleeping 10 and with a vast kitchen-dining area as well as two sitting rooms. Beautifully furnished and finished, but with a relaxed country feel, it is ideal for large groups of family or friends who want a private but convenient location. It has recently undergone extensive renovation, with luxury touches added - including its large outdoor hot tub, and cosy underfloor heating throughout. The interior has been designed to be elegant but contemporary; with Farrow and Ball colours and some striking, bespoke pieces of furniture, the whole house has a timeless feel.

The enormous eat-in kitchen will delight any keen cook with its large range cooker, wine fridge and a generous expanse of surfaces. Dinner is served at the large oak dining table with its views out over the gardens and meadows which stretch down to the River Dulnain. Whilst dinner is being prepared, the rest of the party can enjoy drinks in the sitting room, set through an archway from the kitchen. After dinner you can either relax here in front of the large wood-burning stove and the TV, or in the second sitting room at the back of the house with TV, DVD player and Playstation. And be sure to remind any accomplished pianist in your group to bring their sheet music, so you can all enjoy the piano which sits in the dining area.

In the warmer months you may prefer to eat outside on the decked outdoor kitchen and barbecue area, perfectly positioned to take advantage of the afternoon sun as well as the views down to the river.

Two of the five large bedrooms are on the ground floor. The master has a luxurious super-king bed, dressing room and ensuite shower room and the other has been fitted with a pair of handsome, bespoke, adult-sized bunk beds. There are three further bedrooms upstairs; one with a double bed, one with a king bed and the other with two single beds. Upstairs you will also find both the bathroom and shower room.

Should you have any work to do whilst at Alltnacriche, there is a spacious, private home office with free unlimited WIFI. Whatever the season and whatever Highland adventures you return from, there is room for everyone’s outdoor clothes and equipment both in the outdoor bike store and in one of the largest and most well-equipped utility-cum-boot room we have ever seen!

The ground floor is fully accessible for wheelchair users and the bedroom is fully equipped for a less mobile guest if required. It has an ensuite wet room, sitting shower and large jacuzzi bath. *

Your four legged family members have their own room too in the "dog house", a delightful under-stairs bolt hole in the kitchen where even the largest hound can stretch out in comfort and peace.

Alltnacriche is perfect for children, with a very safe position away from the road and a large grassy garden for playing. The river makes a perfect place for older kids to play, or for a 10 minute riverside stroll to the centre of historic Carrbridge. The village is home to cafes, pubs and outdoor fun at the perennial family favourite, Landmark Forest Adventure park. Carrbridge Golf course is also located just 500m from Alltnacriche.

Alltnacriche is in a family orientated location with the owners living next door and some lovely neighbours nearby. If you are booking for a large group of friends, please contact us prior to booking and we can advise on suitability.

*Disabled access room available on request.

"Fabulous property, our only regret was not being able to stay longer. Made for a great base for trips to the Cairngorms. Super facilities mean 10 could easily be hosted here, with ample lounge space. Hope to return in future to see all Carrbridge has to offer in warmer months." January 2018

"Fantastic lodge in a lovely peaceful location, just outside of Carrbridge. Everything finished to a very high standard both inside and outside. Very comfy beds in all the bedrooms with good communal areas with a cracking wood burning fire. Best bit for the group of 9 was the hot tub in the garden!" November 2017

"This place is incredible. Beautiful cottage with so much space. Very tastefully decorated with every comfort. We had an amazing four days here. There are so many activities nearby in the area, a lovely little village in walking distance and when we asked for restaurant recommendations, the hotel the hosts told us about was spectacular. Communication was always prompt, polite and helpful and when we had a bit of a disaster with jewellery going down a drain they organised a plumber with no hassle. If you want a holiday in the Scottish Highlands this place is without a doubt the place to book. We will definitely be back" July 2017

"An excellent house which accommodated our party of 10 easily. It was very well equipped with a lot of lovely personal touches throughout. Beds were comfortable and everywhere was very clean. The house is within easy walking distance of local restaurants and the nine hole golf course which is well worth playing. The hot tub was put to good use during our stay as was the outside garden furniture. The house stands in its own grounds, off the main road, so safe and very quiet at all times. A house we are definitely returning to!" June 2017

"Such a wonderful house and location! We have stayed in many properties in the area and this is definitely the best. We will be back! " October 2018

"Everything is awesome about the house. We would definitely come back again! " April 2019

"We had a fantastic week. Kids loved the cycling, the river, the hot tub, the house - everything! Adults loved the great house and all the area has to offer - fantastic scenery. We would love to come back - thank you. " July 2019

"Very special extended family get together. Perfect location and house. Happy children and adults. " June 2019

"We had a fabulous time here for and extended family holiday. Great for kids and oldies alike! The kids loved the DVD collection! The grown up's the beautiful setting and the space. Wonderful. A very special place to stay and we hope to be back soon. Thank you! " August 2019

"Perfect place to celebrate retiring. So many good things, not sure where to begin. House, location, Lily (horse) in field, cycle tracks, hot tub, Landmark Adventure Park and a good selection of reading material in the toilet! Five Stars*****" July 2019

"We had a lovely, brilliant time at Alltnacriche. The pre arrival information emailed to us was comprehensive and very helpful and the phonecalls before we left and after we arrived to check all was good showed a high level of customer support. Alltnacriche was very comfortable, spacious and well appointed in all areas. With the tiled floors in the very large kitchen/dining area it made keeping it all very easy to keep clean with four young grandchildren and two dogs. The location was perfect with a large grass area for the children to play in and the field in front with the horses was a definite added attraction. The fact it was possible to walk direct from the house down the path at the side of the field to the riverside path to walk in to the village or to directly access the many other waymarked paths around the village was a definite plus. My son in law and I mountain biked back from Aviemore via Ryvoan/Nethybridge/Boat of Garten direct to the house and only used less than two kilometres on tarmac road. A great thing for any cycling enthusiast. The hot tub was very much enjoyed particularly by the grandchildren then the adults, when dark with no light pollution where a myriad of stars could be seen. The owners who lived adjacent were very helpful in many ways particularly with the grandchildren who had many questions about the horses. Although being nearby the owners were very respectful of giving us our space and only engaged with us when we initiated the contact. All in all a super holiday in a lovely house in a great location supported by a great team. Thank you." September 2020

"We all had a fabulous time staying in Alltnacriche Lodge. It was a fabulous location with lovely walks into Carrbridge and not far from many other walks near Nethy Bridge, Aviemore and Loch Morlich. It was perfect accommodation with an amazing social kitchen dining area, wonderful to cook and socialise in. It was lovely to meet the owners who live next door, who were very helpful giving us details of local walks etc. and a perfect touch with the complimentary Cairngorm Gin from them, which we all appreciated. We look forward to holidaying there again in the future. " September 2020
